How long is the duration of a school education?

The duration of a school education is fundamentally dependent on the desired training occupation and possibly on the vocational training and / or the school degree. Is there money for a school education?

While compensation is paid for combined vocational training, a pupil is not paid in school education. Here, the trainee is paid a salary during school education. For private vocational colleges, there are usually even school fees in Germany, which the trainee himself has to bear. An apprentice is only entitled to Bank if he no longer lives with his parents. The amount of the Bank during a school education depends on the parents' income and amounts to a maximum of 504 euros (maximum basic amount). A student Bank does not have to be refunded after completion of the school education, as is the case for example with a study. For students, Bank repayments are part of their funding. Tip: If you obtain Bank, you will receive a GEZ exemption for your school education. For this you only have to send a proof to the contribution service.

Funding through education loans

An educational loan is a loan that can be taken for school education. It is granted by the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau, or KfW for short, and can also be applied for in addition to the Bank. Loan amounts between 1,000 and 7,200 euros are possible. One-time payments of up to 3,600 euros are intended for high expenses, such as school fees or expensive acquisition costs. The repayment takes place via monthly installments plus interest.

Financing school education without Bank or having to do it without funding from the job center requires other forms of funding. One way to provide financial support for a school education is to take out a loan. This form of funding for school education is tied to a personal income. This means loans for trainees are given by banks and savings banks, but the borrower has to dispose of income. Bank and child benefit do not count towards income . Working with a second borrower is one way to increase the chances of a positive loan application. The benefits of loans for trainees are low interest rates and small monthly installments. The latter allows trainees to keep their financial burden in the eradication low.
